The Reveal
To all of my Facebook friends, my soul mate, my family, my supporters, and all those who have simply "been there" for me over the last year and a half, I want to say "thank you". One month from today, I am going to realize a lifelong wish to do something important. Hatched from an arguably fanciful idea, I honestly think it's going to be something truly good. As with all endeavors, it was challenged at every turn; nothing went smoothly, and it still isn't complete, so I expect a few road blocks between now and September 12th, when the website (I hope) goes live. I've never done any of the things that needed being done before, but with amazing friends offering their help and support, I've been championed on through the experience. And the most important take away from this whole thing has been that the journey may have been more valuable than the destination. It made me a better person, I think. It was a goofy idea that I went for, that I actually *did* something about, instead of dreaming of it happening. Going for it, and doing it, changed me, made me happier, gave me something to get up in the morning for. All the clichés, including, "you're never too old". So, tonight, with a month to go, I'm letting the cat out of the bag. I'm going to tell you what I've been up to and what I hope is to come. And the most awesome thing about it is that its purpose is to make people smile. Stay tuned for the next post.......
