Push back.
I've decided to push back the reveal a little longer. My hopes were to be able to launch on my bday, but it's not ready. I think I shot for tomorrow because I knew it would make me hustle (a trick I learned from an old mentor, friend and boss of mine), but my day job, one that I am most thankful for and love more than someone should love their job, has kept me very busy this last month. Travel, National Sales Meetings and mid year reviews for my amazing team have been my primary focus and "Project 24" had to be put on a back burner. Ive got a month of travel ahead of me, spending the next four weeks in four different cities, so I'm going to reset and shoot for the most appropriate launch date I can think of: Thanksgiving.
I do want to take this moment and thank all my friends that have offered feedback, support, suggestions, and for their general encouragement in this effort. All who I have had the opportunity to share with have been so positive, which, honestly, has kept me going. I want to specially thank Carolyn for her creative ideas and encouragement, Marcus, for his suggestions and direction, Steve T. for his amazingly creative ideas that could really give the project legs, Laura, Mandy and Jon for their unending inspiration, my whole Canon team, who have been so supportive and positive, my special Red homies who have established board meetings in Dana Point Harbor for creative exercises, and for my family, who have been so awesome, so encouraging and never once saying I was crazy (while certainly thinking it). I definitely married one in a million, and my kids and their mates are the true joy of my life. One more special shout out to one of my very oldest of friends, Joe, who was Roberta's and my best man. He has been instrumental in providing resources and direction and I wouldn't even be close without him.
So, hang in there, and anyone that can't wait to know what I'm up to, just swing by the old homestead or set up a lunch date and I'll tell you the story. I'm just not close enough yet to go public. And anyone that knows how to get a domain that someone has parked and doesn't respond to offers or emails, let me know. Now, for me, back to Birthday weekend celebration!
